A Funny Snow Promo You’ll Really Dig

November 26th, 2008

Winter is fast-approaching, and that means one thing: snowboard and ski season is upon us! Here’s a funny promotion put together by a Swiss Tourism agency advertising the early start of the winter season on the slopes. It features some artificial snow piled high on a car that announces “The snow has arrived.” This funny guerrilla promo is guarunteed to get people smiling, but more importantly, get them into their ski boots! The funny promo must be pretty successful, since this is the second year in a row that they’ve decided to run it. Maybe next year they can switch things up with a promotional ice scraper or snowglobe to get their message across.

World’s Greatest Jigsaw Puzzle (Not to Scale)

November 17th, 2008

When most people look at a pile of construction rubble, they see an eyesore. On the other hand, creative marketers see rubble as the latest way to promote their products! Take a look at this amazing and hilarious promotion put together by a company selling jigsaw puzzles. The company created a massive 3D model of their 1000-piece puzzle box, then smacked it right dab in the middle of a pile of concrete rubble. This display gave the illusion that the concrete chunks were actually part of a puzzle to be put together! This larger than life promo had plenty of people stopping to see what was going on. The Ravensburger Puzzle Company gained a huge amount of exposure for their products and put a smile on a lot of faces.

Next time, this company might opt for a smaller promotional desktop puzzle if they want to target specific prospects. With the right promotional products, any company can create funny and attention-grabbing campaigns that put their products and services in the spotlight.

I wouldn’t find this funny if it was my car, but actually it’s hysterical. Don’t worry those aren’t real baseballs, it’s just a promotional sticker.

Kung Fu Panda Promotion

November 11th, 2008

I thought this was a unique way to promote the movie Kung Fu Panda. When you use the surrounding environment in your promotions they are much more effective. Not only does this promotion use the promotional poster, it also incorporates the “glass” casing that the poster is in.

Quiet, Ladies! This is the Men’s Room

November 6th, 2008

These posters weren’t the only thing that was hung in the men’s bathrooms of the ritzy Sofitel Queenstown Hotel in New Zealand.  At least according to the Ican models who seem to be very impressed with the hotel’s male clientele.  I’m not sure if they are directly advertising anything, but I’m sure at the very least it caused the men to chuckle and feel good about themselves.  I’m just surprised didn’t seek a sponsor to commission the posters and slap their brand name on them.
