Papa Johns at your front door! This clever sticky flyer shows a delivery man holding a fresh box of pizza, that when magnified through the peephole, appears to be life-sized! As the flyers were strategically placed, the guerrilla marketing team knocked on doors to signal a response from inside. Imagine the excitement. “What? A pizza man is here? I didn’t order any pizza.” Well, maybe you should!

Jump Rope Bagvertising

July 25th, 2008

Jump on the trend of bagvertising! More and more, advertising is stretching beyond the confines of traditional media outlets. I love the inspired design of this bag. The jump rope concept fully utilizes and plays with the features of the medium. I guess it’s not pure originality because the idea has obviously been replicated, but I still say kudos for creativity and thinking outside the bag!

Avoid Police Cars?

July 23rd, 2008

This vintage print ad features the headline, “Dodge Police Cars,” which offers a call to action with a dual meaning. I avoid police cars at all costs. Was the pun intentionally rebellious? One can’t be sure, but the 1974 Dodge Monaco is most famous for its role as the Bluesmobile in the 1980 film The Blues Brothers. Any way you steer it, it’s funny how the message still resonates today.
